Hello and Happy Near Year!

Does anyone have some short term methods to increase a habitat temperature? The tank's temperature has been mostly fine so far this winter, but dipped a little low on a particularly cold day this past week.

To clarify, I'm wondering if there is a quick / simple way to keep it warmer (similar to improving humidity by covering the lid with plastic wrap); I am not opposed to buying an additional heater, but thought I'd ask before doing so.

Wrap the tank in tin foil and cardboard. Start with just the side that your heater is on. See if that helps enough. If it doesn't move on to the two short sides. That should provide plenty of insulation.

I just threw a thick bath robe over the tank and it's kept it in the mid 80s after it dropped to low 70s

Only do this if you have a uth that can be insulated. For example, zoomed uth s cannot be insulated for fire risks. If you have a zoomed, insulate everywhere except for around the heater.

I did that when the temp dropped below 80 during a cold spell. It helped a little.
