Reptile hammock

Post by Kermie16 » Thu Dec 21, 2017 10:11 pm

I am in need of suggestions please. I bought a reptile hammock to put in our tank topper 20 g tall tank and the suction on it keeps failing me. What do you guys use to keep ur reptile hammocks up in the tat? Honestly I hate using suction cups in general. I have had terrible luck with them staying up.

I had that problem too! I started using command strips and haven't had a problem since. They aren't the velcro/heavy duty ones GB recommends. These hold 8 pounds I think... I use the hammock as a shell shop in one of my tanks and as a moss pit in another tank.

Yeah just make sure there is no substrate on the glass before attaching.

I wipe of my glass in the area I want to stick it. Then I wet the suction cups, because it sticks better with a damp surface.
