Thinking Aloud

With my upgrade coming in the mere future, I am just thinking about something.
I am moving to a 55 gallon soon, but I need to find a proper stand first.

Before I upgrade, I just want to enjoy my old crabitat before I tear it down.
Here's what it includes, and what I have.

36x16x7.5-16
26 gallon tank

8 inches of substrate when flat.
Currently, have a high and low of 6"-12"

I just rearranged yesterday, but I am not quite happy with what I did because I was short on time when it came to decorating.
Would it be okay to redo again today, I just don't want to frazzle out my crabbies. I don't usually stress them out, as I don't really handle them but once every time I rearrange.

Here's my basic plan for a terrain redo.
I want to create a middle area with the pools that just about are the width of the middle of the tank. I wanted to use a ZooMed turtle dock to create a bridge over the pools so they can cross without having to dunk through the water each time.
Could I use gorilla glue to attach the docks to the side of the tank to act as a floating ledge? I realize that it has toxic fumes, but it's scentless after drying for a while.

If I can use it, I'll take the crabs away from the smell, and keep them warm with a Ziploc baggie filled with hot water, in a little container with some substrate.
They wouldn't be in there more than an hour. So, kind of like a short-lived iso tat.

I'll do everything else as normal, plants, and wood. I have two cool pieces of cork bark, so I also have plants for that.
What do you think?

I'll post pictures too!

I would not recommend this. Even though you cannot smell the fumes, they breathe them. Any glue that is used in a tank has to be aired out for days, sometimes even longer.

Thanks, this is important to know!
Would you also recommend airing out hot glue for crafts?

If I cannot glue any ledges on, I'll try to attach the cory some other way, maybe using a hook or suction cup!

I've read on here that you can use aquarium glue. But that also has to air out for a few days.

Do you mean water safe silicone?

Hot glue doesn't stick in the heat and humidity.

Aquarium safe silicon will, Dap makes a metal tube that is sold at Home Depot with the glues. Superglue is also safe once cures.

Some two part epoxies set in a reasonable length of time and will be done off-gassing within a 24 hr. period - but their appropriateness for crab tanks varies greatly. They're probably better used for out of tank purposes, like adding hinges to lids.

Thanks, everyone, I didn't use any glues.
I did install the pools like I wanted, I even added large pebbles to the bottom.

I'll try to post pictures from here, because I can't use my Tapatalk at this time.
