Heat Bulb?

Post by piratetoothgir » Sat Feb 17, 2018 7:40 pm

Can I use a heat lamp fixture with the bulb, and set it on top of a glass Versa-Top?
Will it crack the glass, or not?

Most likely, yes. They run very hot! Your better off using a clamp and ensuring theres a few inch gap between the bulb and the glass to ensure plenty/proper ventilation.

Thanks! Never mind the lamp, my Dad bought me a traditional 55 gallon hood, and another Ultratherm which is 47x11 to fit the entire tank!
I ordered everything I will need for the official setup!

I'm lid-less for a couple days because we returned my screen for the hood, so I have to constantly mist the tank for humidity.
