Just some photos, woot!

Hi, just thought I would share a couple new updates on my crabitat!
I bought some new items, that I thought to give a try!

Firstly, I tried a wheel... Wasn't very sure, but then I couldn't resist, and ended up getting one! I bought a medium Kaytee Silent Spinner, in the blue color.
I went to Hobby Lobby today for cholla wood, and a fishing net just jumped right into my cart! Eh, I'll get that anyway.

The net smells like saltwater, and stinky fish! I guarantee that it’s authentic, and not treated. I sunned it outside in case.

Okay, so here are some photos for you!

Although I have some questions, I need to call on some people to answer specifically.
@GotButterflies

GB, how do you attach the craft mesh onto the wheel, to prevent it from sliding back out.
I hot glued the plastic into a circle shape, and fit it into place. It just slides back outward if I touch it too much.

Basically, that's it! I really like my changes! :)

I love all the foliage! My crabs climb on the bit of foliage I have and since it's not true branches, they fall. I feel bad. The craft mesh is attached by drilling holes into the wheel and zip tying the mesh to it. I also used zip ties to make the mesh a circle.

Thanks! I always get compliments on how great my foliage is.
I really like the tank, it’s better now. I will just fix the wheel up, and get that working. Someone has been on it already, they pulled the mesh out.

The only drawback is my heavy bowls, I cannot pick them up from the tank, so instead I use a gravel vacuum for aquariums, and remove the water, then wipe them out.

I put a chair in the closet so I can sit and watch them some nights.
Anyway, thanks. You are the one who inspired this crabitat, those photos got me over my perfectionism in crabitats.

Where did you get the foliage? Mine just falls apart!

My suction cups also never stick!

Wait, are you referring to me? inspiring your crabitat? I'm so new at this I can't imagine inspiring anyone. Lol. If you did mean me, thank you.

Yes, I did mean you! I only bought my wheel because of you, all because the photos of your tat have changed me :)

Curlysister, I got my vines from ExoTerra at PetSupermarket store. I bought those other plants on the bottom from PetCo, called bob’s driftwood. The suction cups stay on unless someone pulls them off, I just wet mine a bit, and press it on.

Great pictures!

You attach the craft mesh by first drilling holes into the wheel. Then you use zip ties :) if you search hamster wheel on the computer you should be able to find where mlakers shows you, or where I explain how it is done. :)

I got it attached this morning, thank you.
Earlier, I added a floral bush to my tank, it’s hung from the top of the tank.

Here’s a photo!
