Temps and Humidity

I just arrived home and moved my crabs back into their 40g exo terra, including the new crabs. I added in my mix of moistened EE and Play sand, added moss, placed their heater on the tank and a lamp(which will be removed) to aid in the temperature climbing, and installed their pools while still having issues with heat and humidity. Heat is usually 80°F and Humidity is always 85-90% and both are slacking. Could it be that I am being impatient and should take the night to allow the temps and humidity to pick back up?

I think that a temperature of 80 is perfect, that's right around the normal range for most crabs.
You can have a slight humidity fluctuation, anywhere from 70 - 99 percent is acceptable.
I keep my tank at 80 percent humidity, and at least 78 degrees.

Temperatures should slightly drop in the night, it simulates their natural habitat occurrences.

Alright. What could I do to increase the temperature and humidity in the tank?

Bubblers in the pools really help. Lights will zap the humidity sometimes. What type of lid do you have? It has to be completely sealed. You can tape saran wrap to seal it. What type of heater do you have? Most recommend the Ultratherm. I haven't had any heat issues since I got those. Get a size that will cover the entire back of your tank above the substrate. In the meantime you can also cover the tank with a blanket. But then of course you can't use a lamp.

I recommend a tight fitting lid, bubbles in the pools, proper lighting, and correct temperature. Humidity will remain in the tank longer if the temperature inside the tank is warm.

I have two heaters, an Ultratherm on the back of the tank and a human heat pad on the side, which was recommended to me by my buddy.
