Hello, this is my first post here and I'm loving the forum.http://www.hermitcrabassociation.com/ph ... =post&f=26#

I recently got 2 hermits, percy and clawdia. they are in a ten gallon tank with eco earth as substrate. currently they have some nice aquarium plants. Percy always climbs a lot so I want to get some more climbing stuff. any suggestions? herse is something I'm looking at.

Some people have similar vines in their crabitats, but they are made of 'foam' overtop of wire, and eventually the foam can breakdown and come off with the heat and humidity.

Cholla wood is a popular climbing branch, as are nets (sorry, can't recall where to get the proper nets at the moment). I'm sure others will add other suggestions too!

I second the cholla wood and I’ve bought scrap fish net to hang with suction cup hooks so I can move it around. Just remember to boil it before you put it in the tank with treated water :).

I took some jute twine and braided it and hung it from the lid. Also, amazon has some thick nets that hang from suction cups. One of my purple pinchers LOVE sitting on the top of that. You can use cholla wood, i hung a piece from my lid and the Es love sitting up there. I also used aquarium grass mats across the back of my tank, they hang out all over that! pieces of drift wood make great climbing options as well as look good in the tank. Aquarium decor works as well. I've got some grape wood, and a fake aquarium decor that looks like wood branches in my tank. petco and petsmart also sell a cocofiber climbing wall that goes across the back of your tank. 1 piece is like $6 and it fits across a 10 gal perfectly. I had that in my 20 gal for a while, but my crabs got bored with no other things to entertain them so they started shredding it in one corner. haha!
