Do I need to recalibrate?
Do I need to recalibrate?
I think I may need to change the batteries in my Acurite...it’s giving me some goofy readings, especially with humidity. If I change them do anything need to recalibrate?

Re: Do I need to recalibrate?
It never hurts to calibrate your guage. If it is still off, then check to see if it is still under warranty. I'm pretty sure they have a one year warranty.
I definitely keep mine off of the substrate for this issue.

Thank you! I did move it off the substrate a few days ago because it was in the way. I’m just wondering if it’s gone wonky on me or if my tat has gone wonky. Temps are reading higher than I usually keep it (yet my thermostat for the UTH is reading where it’s supposed to be) and my humidity is reading far lower than it’s been in the last 2 months....I think I will change out the batteries and recalibrate.GotButterflies wrote:It never hurts to calibrate your guage. Recalibrating currently but that's what it read when I took it out and AFTER spritzing the moss pits.

Re: Do I need to recalibrate?
So did the recalibrating...it was at 81%! Ugh. Took out the battery, replaced and trying again. Also doing my back up digital Flukkers one too. This is frustrating!

Not having my gauge in the tank is driving me insane lol!!! I can tell the humidity is lower than usual... Or maybe I'm wrong... But I can't keep spritzing the tank... And besides that I have a a guy awake and checking out the new goodies in there... Rant over

Another 5.5 hrs later.. Battery change and it's still off by 3%. It's making me become OCD at this point. Already ordered a new gauge because I got so irritated. Even several hours of low humidity made me crazy.
