Help asap

I bought a uth from zoo med but I'm reading it now and it colder tonight was gonna put it now but it says only put it on glass tanks .... lists plastic wood blah blah to not put it on .... I use a tote so I can not out it there ??? I thought u could ... so no one uses the zoo med heating pad on plastic now I'm stuck with no heater right now
