Re: Need hiding spot ideas
I bought two plastic log looking hides for aquariums. They have openings on each end and on the sides. I put them on each side of the tank so they have cover near by. They fit multiple crabs and the store I got them had numerous sizes.

There was three different sizes, I got the middle one and I kind of wish I would have gotten the bigger one. They dug out underneath to make it taller in there.Hermie escape artist wrote:I like that i seen that before im scarred he wont fit under !! .. and the coco hide also worry he dont fit under but never actually bought any

Re: Need hiding spot ideas
Those hides we use are the ZooMed AquaLogs. https://www.amazon.com/Zoo-Med-Aqualog- ... ualog&th=1
We use the Large size. Our Straws fit no problem with 2-1/2 to 2-3/4" Shells. About 1-1/4" openings. Our two giant rescues we got the other week fit in too. Their shells are about 3"-3-1/2" with 1-1/2 openings. If they get any bigger we will need to upgrade to the XL size.
Hermie Escape Artist, I believe you mentioned a few weeks back you are in the Lancaster, PA area. I'd try and get to That Fish Place, That Pet Place just outside of Lancaster and check out their reptile and aquatic sections. They have tons of stuff there. Their prices are just as good if not better than most online stores too. Even better if you sign up for their free rewards program. We make the 2 hour trip there every other month or so. We always find stuff we had no idea we needed! lol.
