Hey everyone!
I was wondering if anyone has played about with Philips Hue for their crabs. We recently invested in the Philips Hue eco-system, and honestly, what you can do and program is pretty incredible. I just purchased an 80-inch light strip for the crab tank and was seeing if anyone else has thought of actually used them? You can simulate sunrises and sunsets as specified times and then programed to stay on a daylight setting and a night setting for day and night, respectively. I understand these are LED's and aren't supplementing actual sunlight. The goal is to create a more realistic lighting pattern for the crabs and have it be less abrasive when turning lights on/off. It will also be nice when hubby and I sneak away for the weekend to go to Disney World and the crabs will have a programed lighting situation.

You are soooo far above our heads, I love it!
That would be pretty cool for a room without a window!

Re: Philips Hue?
LOL!
That's exactly why I'm doing this... We move on Monday and the crabs are heading into a space that natural light won't be getting to very often. I'll be happy to post the result and the how-to once the light strip comes in! More to come!
