Would you buy a 6x47 or an 11X48?

I have the 6x47 on a 55. Insulated entire back and sides plus I have to keep a blanket on top and hanging over the front which helps reduce condensation as well. Although I just had a flood due to condensation build up over time. Unless I have a small leak in a pool that I didn’t catch. I’m looking to add the 11x47 as soon as I find one available in hopes of removing the blanket but the tank is in a cool basement so not sure I’ll be able. I might always have a condensation problem with the tank in the basement.

The 11. You can always remove insulation or use a rheostat or thermostat to bring the temperature down to where you want it. Having to add more heat is thr headache!

I'm with wodesorel on this. Think of it as going outside in the winter in a t-shirt or dressed in layers. It's easier to remove a layer and stay comfortable than to get warm when you don't have anything to wear but a shirt!

Thanks Y'all--I'll go with the 11"x47/48". Since I have a baseball sized crab I'm going to have to fill the tank at least half full of sub so the 11" will overlap the sub by an inch or so on the back wall. Since I live in hot ol' Texas, I doubt I'll need to insulate provided we don't have another Snovid event like we did a few weeks ago. My classroom never lost power in thanks to being on the same grid as several hospitals.
