What Humidity Gauge Do You Guys Use?

Post by DinosaurDumbo » Sun Dec 12, 2021 4:13 pm

Hey All! I’m curious what kind of gauge you all use to measure the humidity of the tanks. I have seen various types from other pet stores. However, I am curious what brand or humidity gauge you guys use? I just don’t want to get a gauge that isn’t accurate or cheap. Thanks!!

Acurite, this is the one I have. https://www.amazon.com/AcuRite-00325-Co ... 2615&psc=1
I have it hanging from the top in a plastic canvas cage.

I also use Acurites in my two 29g setups. Both are slightly different models and both were under $10/ea.

You really should follow the "calibration" procedure to see how far they're off if at all.

I hate the term "calibration" for this because you aren't calibrating or adjusting the calibration on them at all. You're just running a reference check on it to know if you need to add or subtract 1,2,3% (in your head) to what the readout indicates.
Two 29gals. 3 PPs in each.
~200gal of fish tanks. Mostly planted community tanks.
Multiple kiddos, doggies and kitties.
