plexiglass
plexiglass
I haven't been overly active in the last year or so. I am moving the crabs from a 20g to a 75g. My husband cut 1/2" or 3/16" plexiglass for the lids. I tried plexiglass at one other time (it was 1/4") it warped, badly. Has anyone had any good experience with plexiglass? Or is this just going to be a stop gap until I can go get glass cut?
I can hear my 75g whispering from the barn.

Re: plexiglass
My 45 gallon tank had plexi glass for the lid. It was really sturdy, and held up really well. My 15 pound cat could sleep on it without any warping or problems at all. I'm not sure exactly how thick it was, but I wish my new tank has that lid still!

Re: plexiglass
Thank you I just got the plexiglass lids done and put handles on them. I was going to try and hinge them but the hinges I got aren't going to work like that so, I guess I won't use them.

Okay here's the tank with the lids with the handles. I've got some those landscaping stones shaped like 3/4 of the Moon probably those are going to end up with felt on the bottom of them and on top of the lids just to be on the safe side.
