HELP WHAT IS MY HERMIT DOING

so today i noticed my crab was buried but she wasnt molting and i checked the temperture i move her she goes back she has the right humidity temperture 10 gallon tank echo earth and sand food and water what is wrong please help im desperate. :crabbigsmile: http://www.hermitcrabassociation.com/ph ... =post&f=27#

Nothing. She's relaxing crab-style. My guys go face down sometimes in the sand a few days a week. Its just what they do. As long as your guages are correct and your conditions are optimal then you're seeing a crab take a siesta. Image
These two are snoozing by the glass today.
Keep a journal of the crab behaviour. You'll see a pattern emerge immediately.

Digging is normal. But fill out the emergency template so we can be sure all of your tank conditions are right

I personally think the more attention you pay to what your crabs are doing you will start to obsess over them...so I wouldn't keep a journal. As long as your tank conditions are correct, and you feed safe foods, and follow the food pyramid everything should be fine

If your crab is burying or digging, stop moving it.

Leave them alone and allow them to destress.

Offer hiding places and plenty of fake plants for them to duck and cover under.

thank you every one i was just panicking i was worried and didnt want to move herm cause i was afraid id stress her out im a new hermit crab owner my crab that is n the sand is named coconut.
