Crab ok?

Post by Big Boy Hermit Crab » Wed Apr 08, 2020 10:12 am

So recently within the last week my crab name big boy got out and he's been gone for about a week I was worried that he had died but hadn't smelled anything and we couldn't find him I put some food out water out put out his favorite house and some to not inside and waited, nothing happened like I said for about a week until today I found him sitting on a little saucer dish next to the food and everything else wasn't quite sure how he was feeling but he didn't look like he had a lot of energy and he looked weak so my biggest concern is is he going to be okay he crawled back into the Coco hut in the main cage once I put it back in I haven't seen him since and I'm a little worried.

He probably had trouble finding food and water while he was wandering your home and got gill damage from the low humidity.

All you really can do is make him comfortable. Offer energy-rich foods and keep the humidity up while he recovers.
