Dont know if hermit crab escaped or burrowing

Im not sure if my hermit crab escaped or not, the lid of my tank is not weighted by anything but i do have cling wraps on both sides to keep the lid in place. Im not sure if he had escaped or not because 2 of my other crabs has escaped before but i was lucky enough to find them and that was before i had a proper lid. Im kinda panicking because hes usually active and i always see him around in the tank. But today i haven't seen him im not sure if hes just burrowing or if he had escaped. Its also not impossible for him to escape since i figured he could maybe lift up the lid and escaped

When did you last see him? You can either dig for him - which if he has been unseen for more than a day or two, I wouldn't do - or you can wait until you either see him somewhere in your house or he comes up.
When was the last time he molted?
