I'd agree that it might have been the sand or latent chemicals b/c they were in the bathroom, it's really upsetting forthis to have happened to you :( I would get rid of that sand, it may have picked up chemicals from being in the garage for so long. So sorry for the big loss.

They would not have died that quickly from lack of water. Crabs can go days without water & food. They also would not all died at the same time within hours from FMR food/treat.

Something majore killed those crabs, and I am very sad that you are going through this, caymarie. :( I am sticking with the likelyhood of the KK and substrate absorbing chemicals that may have been stored nearby. Again, I am very sorry that this happened to you. ((((((Hugs)))))))

[smilie=grouphug.gif] I'm so very sorry that you lost them. That's so awful. I do agree w/Kathy that it was probably a chemical absorbtion problem. Nothing else would account for that happening that quickly. :( All you have to think about is how many of us have had loose crabs & some of them were for days or even weeks. It makes sense. It was just a very sad, traumatic accident. Again, my heart does go out to you caymarie1. [smilie=comfort.gif]
