Crab almost escaping

Post by Plasmoc » Mon Nov 09, 2020 5:03 pm

Woke this morning to our crab 1/2 way out of the tank! There’s a big hole in the lid, I had it covered with a small container but he was pushing it up. He tightened his grip when I tried to coax him to climb down... so I put a can on top of the container & taped it to the wall (he was still there when I had to go to work).

Home now and he’s still there Image He’s NOT stuck, I can see a gap between his shell and the lid. Any suggestions what I can safely fasten on here to keep him in?

I just upgraded his tank a few days ago, but had trouble with his walking wheel. Need to get that up ASAP to keep him occupied

I would suggest getting a piece of hard plastic and siliconing it on the lid with aquarium silicone. You could get plexiglass or simply just get a piece of hard plastic from an container
