I thought my hermit crab squirt was passed away when cleaning the cage today but I think he was surface molting or about to he was very limp and stuff not falling out of his shell after taking him out of the cage I realize he was moving a little bit on my dresser and at further expansion it seems he was molting a little bit like the arm part claw of his big claw it’s like peeling a bit I probably put him in a quarantine container and he has been moving around every so often I gave him dry food such as oats seeds and my turtle feed stuff that I’m hoping he’ll pick off of and continue remote I’m just scared of him dying because I accidentally disrupt him but if she was trying to service more which I’m gonna guess was it from stress because he had had a little altercation with one eye other crabs prior my humidity is always 90 or more constantly and my tank is normal at 85f.. my eyes are crabs have gone under to multiple times I owe over 10 inches of substance:( i’m just really worried so much scary stuff has happened over the past few weeks with the crabys sorry for the typos currently like 2 AM worrying about the crab..

He’s not going to eat if he’s molting, just try to keep him warm, humid, and dark for a while. The best thing you can do is leave him alone and let him do what he needs to to be okay
