Hello! I'm pretty new to the site, not so new to keeping crabs. I had crabs when I was in middle school and had them for a few years until they passed (they stayed at my mom's house and she didn't tend to them well when I went to my dad's home) I didn't keep crabs again until last July when my dad brought my daughter and two crabs home from the fair... One passed from PPS, the other one, Crabby (?) has been going strong and has molted with us a few times I believe. We have Hermes (F) and Alcatraz (F) that we got a while ago. Alcatraz has already molted, yay, but not Hermes yet. It was a fast one too! I didn't even realize until today that she had. Finally we have our newest addition, Bessie (F). I am so thankful for this forum! I've gotten so much helpful information. Thank you all so much!!!! Just reading other posts have saved us! I am so glad we found you. I'm so much more confident in my crab care. We are in the process of upgrading our tank from a 10 gallon to a 50 gallon!! I'll add some pics when we are done! Nice to meet you all!

Aww, they're adorable! I love the first pic-- they're all peeking out of their shells looking like, " mmmm, broccoli!!" lol

What a nice little colony! Bessie looks like a big girl next to Alcatraz. Is she about the same size as Crabby?

Thank you! She's huge! We didn't realize how big she was. I though she was big, when we got her she couldn't go all the way in her shell. Within an hour and with my daughter watching she changed shells. I think she was ready for a new home! I though she was about Crabby's size but she's bigger. I actually had to move things around and add some more coco fiber. Good thing we have a bigger tank in the works lol.
