Spongebob
Got a new crab today and named him spongebob. I put him in the tank and then went about my business. Came back and he had already switched shells.
I was checking him out however and I noticed that instead of being black, his eyes are red. Is that cause for concern or completely normal.

Re: Spongebob
Sounds fine, my PP's eyes range in color from deep black to a rusty orange.

Yeah. I figured it was a normal occurrence. I had just never seen it before. Most of my crabs' eyes are black.

Spongebob has dug under. I assume he is either molting or destressing because he does not come up at night.

Smooth out the sand and wait to see if there are tracks!NLindsey921 wrote:Spongebob has dug under. I assume he is either molting or destressing because he does not come up at night.

Too many crabs for that. It wouldn't be an accurate test.
