Dedicated and Hopelessly Obsessed LHC Addict of 18 Years Seeks Jumbo PP to Fulfill Said Obsession
Must be willing to "go cargo" and endure being spoiled rotten. Aforementioned addict agrees to cover all transportation expenses, provide committed quality lifelong care, rustic but cozy accommodations, delicious nutritious cuisine, camaraderie and ample opportunity for exercise and enrichment. ~
As a bit of an introduction, or rather a reintroduction, I am Michele. I often check in on the forum to catch up, though its been a few years since I've posted and actually more than a few since I was really active. I've decided its time to change that. My LHC addiction began in July 1998 when my daughter decided the only thing she wanted for her birthday was a hermit crab. I realized hermit crabs are like potatoes chips, you cant have just one. Being social creatures, they need little families of their own. And friends, and extended family... and so I rationalize the addiction. That first little crab is still with me btw, though technically, he belongs to my daughter. Crawdaunt isn't quite so little anymore but boy, is he spoiled. Here he is watching tv.

Seriously, he thinks we got the bigscreen just for him...
(I guess I should add quality tv time to the list of amenities for our potential adoptee.)
My other crabs are Memphis, who joined the family shortly after Crawdaunt and also a huge personality.

My miracle girl, Blossom: former child's toy. She had damaged eye stalks and had dropped all but one leg and her bp. I came to this forum looking for advice on humane euthanasia- instead I got support and encouragement. Several here told me that their eyes can heal and regenerate. I was skeptical. I've never been so happy to be wrong. I'm grateful beyond words. Now one of the loveliest crabs ever, and I'm pretty sure she knows it.

Ruby, adopted from Craigslist in 06. If I were to send them to school, she'd be on the honor roll.

Ripley: via the Craigslist adoption from deeep south. (A story for another time.) An adorable little guy and well worth the trouble & expense.

And with keeping on topic: my most recent acquisition, Mudbug, who's only been with me a few months. Cute as a button and seems determined to rival Blossom in color.

[Insert Image of {Name?} Here] and my crabbie family will be complete!
