Hi

Post by Hermitguy » Sun Jan 15, 2017 4:32 pm

Hello Everyone!

A few years ago I had to give up my 15 hermit crab colony due to moving issues. It was a heart break ofcourse, but now almost five years later I just rerescue three PPs (two small ones and one big guy). For the time being they are in a 10g and im focusing on getting them in proper health. They were deprived of proper heat/humidity.. They had barely and fresh water never mind salt water.. And eating those awful pellets. So that ofcourse is my main priority; to just maintain all that. Everntually I'll be setting up my 50g and setting up a much more elaborate tank. Looking forward to sharing and learning more!

Hi and welcome back. Would love to see pics esp because of size difference. Fascinated with the fact that biggies and little 'uns can live together in peace. Most animal species this is not the case. And these guys look so prehistoric. Anyway looking forward to pics.

Many pics to come! As of now I dont think I want to bother them at all... Especially unnecessary stress; feel bad just changing out food/water. LOL The last few days I've finally maintained a consistent 85°-80% and the two smaller ones are very active..Ive seen them spending alot of time in the salt water too! My bigger guy went straight down after eating and other than leaving a little window once haven't seen him since..probably to destress. I miss having an established colony so much but am very happy to be back at crabbing!! I was at petco grabbing cat food when I overheard somone trying to return them with a petsmart recipe LMSO they didnt want to drive an extra 20 minutes so i offered to take them...figured it was meant to be.
