New crab babies!!!

Hey all! We were on vacation this past week, and of course I had to bring some crabs home! If you read my post "CRAB ID" you'll see some close up pictures of the new babies. There's 4, 2 in painted shells and 2 in regular shells. I wanted to keep them separate from the regular tank until they get out of the painted shells and get a molt or two in. The tote I had when sebastian was hurt still had some sand/ee mix in it, but not enough so I used what I had which was 2 bricks of EE. It was 2 am when I was setting it up when we got home so I couldnt run to home depot for sand. Its heavy EE, but some people use only EE, some use only sand, some use both. I use both but this will do for now! I added shells on top of the moss box, and one already changed!!!! Unfortunately it wasn't a painted shell, but it's still good news! They're loving their new home and the good food their getting!

And heres just some cute pictures. I've NEVER seen any of my current crabs hang out IN a pool, so I was crazy excited to see one just sitting inside the pool!

They're all very light, like blue purple and white! They have stitch marks as well!

Isn’t it illegal to take anything live home from the beach? At least I know around here you would receive a hefty fine if caught...

I added a cover to the hole where the light is, and I weigh the lid down with gallons of water. I dont want my babies escaping!! I have dogs so they may not make it if they get out!
