Hi. I'm Crystal. Just took in four hermit crabs in the last month or so. Started with two in a ten gallon. I realized that it was too small and upgraded to a 30 gallon and added 2 more crabs. So far 3 of them are under and only one hangs out up. I have two in the ten gallon still. I'm hoping they don't stay down for too long because I'm really trying to make the big tank awesome. I have lots of shells in there for them. I got the hermit crabs for my seven year old thinking it would be much simpler. After researching them I realized they need so much more and once I get my set up complete it will be easy peasy. But not cheap
