New Crabitat - Too much humidity?

Post by HappySmiley » Sun Mar 14, 2021 11:01 pm

Hello! I finally officially joined the site, though I've been reading and getting information since I got my crabs in July.

I inherited two more crabs so now I have four! I upgraded my tank from 10 gallon to 65 gallon!

The humidity gauge is reading 92% humidity! Is that too high? Is it because I just mixed new substrate (coconut/sand mixture)?

I'd like to add a picture but I'm not sure how.

Welcome!
Not too high at all. In fact, there is no such thing as too high as far as the crabs are concerned - but super high humidity can cause wood and food etc to mold faster. Which also isn't a big deal because it isn't dangerous and you can clean it off.
To add photos, you need to use the app TapaTalk, or a photo sharing app/ site.

It's probably the new sub, it can take a little while for everything to even off, but then you also have to watch to make sure it doesn't dip too low.
