Crab identification

I am hoping someone can help me. My daughter went to the beach and found a pretty small shell. She brought it home in a container with sand and other shells as well as the ocean water. This morning she noticed that one little shell had a crab inside. We have no idea what type it is though. I’m assuming it is a marine one since it was at the beach. Image

Yes that looks like a marine crab.
Take it back and put it back where it came from.
