I was wondering if it would be ok to give my new pp a quick dip in decloranated water before I put her into her 10 gallon iso. She is from a pet store with wonderful conditions but seems to be very active and runs over to see me when I'm nearby. I think she might have mites because I get itchy whenever I fix her tank. If it's not ok then I will just wait until she molts in the 10 gallon and strengthens up a bit to give her a dip.

If she has mites you should be able to see them on the joints on her legs. There's stuff in my tank I am allergic to, such as the moss. I wouldn't bathe a new crab unless I was positive she had mites.

It's not a bad idea to give a new crab a bath to check for mites and to make it smell the same as other hermits you might have. Freshwater and tank temperature.
Crab mites don't affect people. It sounds like you may be having issues with something in the tank, such as food, moss or cocofiber.
