HCA: Hermit Crab Association

I am super excited and cannot help but gush about it.
I have been trolling Craig's list for a few weeks and found a woman in the NY area who is looking for a good home for her two hermit crabs. At some point this week I will be picking up the two new additions to my family as well as a few supplies!
They are most likely PPs. I'll know for sure soon!
As long as they both look healthy and what not I can give them a quick dip and put them in my tank right?

Congrats! Yep, as long as they're healthy a quick dip in the FW is all they'll need. Some crabbers still ISO until successful molts as a precaution. Up to you.

Lol I know! I will be getting some more decor goodies so I'm going to be redoing everything... Again. I want actual second level.

Thanks! I'm trying to think up good ways to add in a second level. I don't like to use the suction cups things but that's kinda all I have right now. I think I'm going to make a hide or two and use it to build up. Ideas welcome :3

It looks like I may be getting a few more than I thought... Excited!!!! Since all of my crabs are in the medium to small range I think my tank can more than accommodate them. Tonight I am going on a crazy redo. I will be adding more sub in to make sure everything is perfect and then starting on the second levels. Possibly getting to the pools. I'm going to make a hide tonight as well, so the finishing touches won't be done for a few days. But I get two new crabs Sunday and possibly another two. I am very excited!

Im so ready to adopt..But my husband keeps saying to wait.. wait.. I have a tote & xtras ready to setup..I kinda wanna do what Allan did & put 2 tanks together for my main tank&2nd level it (have the xtra help 2 if needed!!) Guess im being impatient..

Lol I'm impatient too! I feel like a lot has happened quick and now I'm up to 10 crabs ! I already want to update to give them more room... Oh goodness... *sigh* my new plan is to maintain and then when I move into my own house in about a year to build a slightly bigger tank over there and take my crabs with me there is a chance I might leave 2-3 in the care of my sister and she can downsize to a smaller tank- but I highly doubt that will happen. I'll scope out bigger tanks on Craig's list but for now I'm (hopefully) done trying to upgrade anything.
I thought I would adopt 2-3 crabs and be great. And once I posted the adoption thing it happened kinda quick. Now I have 5 more... Lol! I love them and I'm so excited to have them, but it didn't just rain- it poured lol.
