Back to crabs after a decade or so!

Hi. I'm Chelsey. I took a long break from exotic animals when my husband and I decided to have kids. I had hermit crabs a decade ago and am glad to be back.

I spent the week fixing up a 30 gal tank and I bought 5 crabs today!

Here are a few pics. There are 2 PPs also but somehow they didn't make it on camera

How big/what species are the crabs?? 5 in a 30 gallon seems a little crowded to me if they are larger or not PPs.

There are 3 fairly small E's and the 2 PP's are small.

It may just be me- I'm on tapatalk.

I'll check it out on the site.

If I were you I would be nervous about the e's, I've never had any but they are very active, they like to dig, and they are known to be aggressive and cannibals if they do not have enough space. For some people it's okay, but for others they need a larger tank! I would just make sure to keep a close eye on them.

I'll keep an eye on them. I'm still working on the heating also. I have a larger UTH I can add if what I have isn't keeping it warm enough.

Just curious, can anyone see the pics?

I can't see the pix either.

I had an issue at first too, I went with google and thought google album would work, but I had to post them on google+ for it to work.

I didn't try instagram or FB, but the forum seems particular about where it can embed images from.

There's a post with instructions on here somewhere.

I looked at the post about posting pics, but I am the first to admit that I am horrible with computers.

I was using dropbox and I can see them on my computer. I'll keep trying

I don't suppose that one worked.?.

I can't see that one. I have success on photobucket and through tapatalk on my iPhone.

If you have a privacy setting for your posts on dropbox, you may need to make sure the pictures you want to appear here are set to "public".

You could try Tinypic. Pretty easy. Worst comes to worst, you just have to give the URL w/ one of these online sites.

I might try again. I actually tried photobucket and dropbox but neither seemed to work. Like I said, I'm not really good with computers.
