Just completed my last adoption

Post by KellyCrabbieLove » Fri Feb 12, 2016 5:31 pm

I will post pics as soon as I can get some. She is fast! I put her in the tank in the shell shop (hasn't had shells in 3 years) turned to say something to the previous owners and when I looked back she was gone. Completely vanished.

She is on the smaller end of small sized and so cute in her little murex shell.

Her previous owners were unaware of the needs of hermies as most are. I knkw I knew absolutely nothing until I found the HCA. So she had been in a KK with no humidity by herself since they were given her. Calcium sand, a sponge and a small dish of saltwater made up her home along with a piece of the painted cholla sold in pet stores. She is going to have plenty of space to stretch her legs now, plenty of friends and all the things she needs to be happy.

I wonder if she will be in yet another when I go check on her next.

Congrats on the adoption! Aww, she just has this look like a kid at Christmas with all those shells! I LOVE her in that snail shell she chose last. It just compliments her.

Congrats! How do you adopt hermit crabs? Where do you get them from?

Different places. I have had mine 3 different ways. Through the HCA (this last one came from here), Craigslist and then from friends and family who have come across people with them that want to get rid of them.
