HCA: Hermit Crab Association

Hello, my husband and I got our crabs almost a month ago *september 19th* I've done so much research on them, and so far so good! I just recently moved them to a bigger tank we had laying around and they have been beyond happy with the extra running room!

Other than that, I'm beyond happy I found this amazing site!

Glad to have you aboard! And yes, this is an amazing site, thanks to all of the input from our ever-growing membership. Feel free to ask any questions that you can't find an answer to in the Forum and, of course, we want pictures of your crabitat and crab family .

Welcome, glad to have you. Also, congratulations on the upgrade- getting a new tank is super exciting!

The new tank is a work in progress. I have a few things I'm going to be getting this monday to add to it. When I'm finished completley I will post pics! I'm getting ideas going through the forum! The old tank is now going to be the iso tank! So, I'm also working on getting that set up for them for future use!

Its such a treasure trove of ideas! That's great you have a good iso tank now. Every week i just get one or two things i can add to improve krabbieville.

It really is! My husband is now saying they constantly needs things! I keep telling cause I get new ideas! LoL we're going to purchase a few things tomorrow on our trip. I'm excited to work on it when we get back! It is a lot of fun!

Same! But my significant other is less excited haha. I went to the dollar store today and found so many good things i needed/wanted! Even a 9 pack of suction cups! The options really open up once you start thinking of the box.

LoL he gives me endless crap about the new found love of hermit crabs, but he find them interesting now after handling them and watching them in their crabatat.

That's a very good deal! We're getting a few things tomorrow! I'm super excited

They came in so handy today! I doing a deep clean so i used a few as extra dishes flipped upside down in the sand.

Thats great! My boyfriend had one as a kid but his sister was messing with it. When he got the crab back from her and went to put it back. ..the crab pinched him really hard. ever since he's not liked crabs.

The members here have helped in so many ways - everything from emergencies to basic necessities to even helping some of us grieve the loss of our hermies.
