HELP!!!
Okay, so I asked this girl to prom and long story short, she gave me a hermit crab. I have no idea how to take care of a hermit crab!!! For example, a lot of websites say that you need at least three hermit crabs but others say you don't need any more than one. Feeding? Do i use the powder? fresh veggies? both? As you can see i have no idea what I'm doing, and I really don't want the little guy to die. So if you guys have any tips, care guides, etc., I would love to see them. Thanks!

Here's a pretty decent careguide that may answer some questions.
As for yours:
1. They can be social, and would reccomend having at least a pair. However, many have had success with a solo crab, so its certainly up to you.... But the more crabs, the more entertaining it is IMO.
Edit: as for food, best to give them a variety of foods to keep them happy and balanced diet. Fresh fruit, and veggies (organic if possible!), meats, seafood, nuts and the like are greatly appreciated and eaten. They eat a lot of foods similar to humans, so for dinner you could always set aside a scrap or two for them to munch on and they would do fine....

Re: HELP!!!
Welcome! Read the care guides. They need heat about 80° and humidity at least 80%. And substrate a minimum of 6" or 3x the height of the crab. Whichever is deeper. And it has to be sandcastle consistancy. They need calcium every day. Fresh and salt water. Both dechlorinated.

I have had pets in the past, but my family can’t have any furry or feathered ones due to allergies. I usually try my best to help and currently trying to set up a crabitat. I also try to treat others with Love!❤️

Re: HELP!!!
Thank you guys so much!!!! I got a bigger tank, I've filled it with sand, and then I got two more hermies. I give them fresh meat and veggies every day and I keep their temp and humidity just right. I guess my date didn't know what she was getting me into when she got the first because now I have three happy hermies.
