Hi,
We bought 3 Australian land crabs one week ago as a Christmas present for our 13 year old daughter. She is currently away with a friend's family, returning in 2 days. We've been keeping the crabs as advised with fresh & salty water, fresh food every day, humidity at 80% and temperature around 22 degrees C.
The crabs have hardly moved since we got them. One has moved a little, but it seems that the other two have not, even when comparing photos taken the previous day. We're also not sure they are touching the food we give them, which has consisted of the crab food we bought, plus a few fruits and vegetable pieces. We tried peanut butter one day, but they showed little to no interest.
So the question is, when should we worry? If so, what can we do?
Thanks in advance
Kevin & Karen

22 is a bit cool. You will see more activity around 25 to 27C (generally around 80F).
Be sure to check the files section - the 'basics' care sheet is a good place to start to ensure you have everything they need:

Thanks so much. It's a bit warmer now, and they do seem to be moving a little more.

they will definitely come out a bit more when their heat and humidity standards are met because that’s how they like it and it is a lot more comfortable for them
