Crab on ceiling!!!!
My crab somehow climbed onto the screen lid of his tank.He is hanging upside down from it.He doesn’t even have anything to where he can get up there and I have no idea what to do and how he got up there. The closest hint to the top is atleast 4 inches from the top and it’s a glass tank sooooo......

Re: Crab on ceiling!!!!
They can climb the silicone holding the tank walls together.
They climb trees in the wild, several feet up.
This is very common and nothing at all to be worried about.

Re: Crab on ceiling!!!!
So, my crab has been doing this (I thought it would be the onlySone before I found this thread), but I wake up in the middle of the night to frantic "tapping" of my crabs legs/claws on the glass lid of my tank. Somehow (I have no idea how) he gets up there, and then can't get down, so I have to gently take the lid off and set him back on the substrate (I'm still new to crabs and not comfortable with handling them for fear I would get pinched and drop them....so I just try to gently "dump" him off into the sand). I don't know how he gets up there nor do I really care, but he can't get down so I keep getting woken up in the middle of the night to have to get him down which is a little annoying....any tips??
