Excessive shell change?

Post by percy_and_clawdia » Tue Aug 14, 2018 11:17 pm

My one crab percy has changed shells 4 or 5 times since I got him, which was about 3 weeks ago. the other one clawdia has changed twice. I was on an overnight trip and clawdia is in a shell that was once vacant, and percy is in her old one. Is it common for them to change so often?

It can happen, and that’s normal. As long as they have a variety of suitable shells, there’s nothing to worry about.

Like Joe said, this happens If it's a PP, this is very normal behavior as mine go to the shell shop multiple times a day and change.

5 PPs: Koa, Moja, Siam, Chella, and Ozark.

Some crabs change shells more than we change underwear, which I hope is at least daily!
