Do E & PP have different eating habits?
Re: Do E & PP have different eating habits?
My pp's are like that and I've heard others on here say that the E's are always out. I just continue to act normal and slowly my pp's are getting use to it and I sometimes catch 2 of them out. My large is down molting and he's really friendly, he would come out as soon as I tapped on the glass....I miss him and I'm expecting him to be down for 2-3 months with his size. I think pp's take longer to become friends, everytime my little ones go down for a molt they seam braver when they come back up.....guess they just need time to grow up (:

By the way, my pp's were not big eaters either and I use to complain to everyone on here.....they are eating, they just eat such small amounts ....I woke up a couple nights and caught them, but when I took the food out in the morning you couldn't hardly see the little amounts they pinched off. Try adding some dried foods....mine like that better: Dried leaves, meal worms, crickets....they eat better since I have started offering them this.

My PPs all eat during the night. Even if I'm around they're in the dishes, but they do like it to be dark in the room. The Es will pick all day but still panic when I get near them.

I haven't even seen one of my PPs but for once in the last month. I know hes not molting because he was freshly molted when I did see him last, about 3 weeks ago. PPs seem to be very shy about everything.

Gosh, my PP's eat like a bunch of starved teenaged boys...they sit in the dishes and shovel food in their mouths like each bite is their last meal. They also drag food around and hoard it just in case I never, ever feed them again.
My E's are pickier eaters, and prefer their insects very fresh, hopefully still kicking when I can stomach it.

My two large PPs are always the first to the dish when I put it in the tank I'll walk in the room n they will b hovered over the bowl chowing and they see me a stop n stare for a bit still standing in the bowl waiting for me to go away!!! N forget if I put honey in there they don't care if I'm around or not the honey is a precious gem to them n they're going to get it while it's hot!! (not actually hot though! Lol)
