Moving a digger?

Post by Bender » Wed Apr 25, 2012 10:03 pm

Hope it's ok to do that!

"seashell' as the kids call him, is currently as I type digging down in a spot that's nowhere near deep enough for him to molt. So I'm going to dig him a hole in a better spot and put him down to hopefully get him to dig there. Out of the 13, I can count nine, two have gone down last night now Seashell is digging himself a hole. Guess I'll be picking up some more EE tomorrow to top up things, I know where two are anyway....

They will move around under the substrate, so just because you put them one place doesn't mean they will stay there. Also, it's best to have the depth more equal throughout the tank. The crabs don't understand that the bottom of the hill is less deep than the top of the hill since in the wild the sand goes down a long way everywhere.
