3rd wheel of the hermies tank?

The water dish is a big half clam shell that we found on the beach, I boiled it. The little yellow one is just a plastic one that came with the hermit crab cage when we bought them.

Yes, Zoo Med does not recommend reusing heaters once you remove them because it can damage the heating mechanisms; HOWEVER - I can tell you that I have reused a couple that I have. I have one on my cricket cage and one on my frog cage (both glass) I hung them using Reflectix tape on the sides which is a heat tape - and I watch my temperatures. Mine are fine. I believe I have heard others have reused theirs as well.

I prefer Ultratherms because they are better for the money and can safely be insulated. http://www.reptilebasics.com is my favorite. :)
Yes, I have moved a re-used my small ZooMed one several times now. I just carefully peeled it off making sure as not to bend it. I have it on my current tank by a water pool.

Ah thank you :)

Both heaters are attached to the tank with electrical tape so they are removable.

The big guy is still staying in the cave and the little guys are mostly on top of the cave. One is wandering around more.

Any more thoughts on why they’ve separated themselves like this and if the big guy needs a friend or if it’s ok he’s alone?

Mine seem to do that too, Rod(she is my biggest one too) will sit alone in the bigger moss pit, but Bob and Salty will sit together in the smaller one. I don’t know where my little guy or Crabina hang out yet. I would think that as long as they have other friends it should be ok, they’re not completely alone.
