He had lapped the aquarium. I have come to the conclusion that he enjoys it up there because he could’ve escaped already if he wanted to.
Sorry I didn’t see your lid question, but I have half glass and half plastic wrap. This used to be an aquarium but we rehomed the fish and it’s been sitting there for 7 years. So during quarantine i got bored and upgraded my crab tank. Since it was so old, a lot of the glass panes were cracked. 1 was completely intact, 2 had pieces broken off of them but were still useable as i sandpapered them down to smooth them out, but the last panel had a giant crack going straight through the center so i couldn’t use that one. i covered the open areas with plastic wrap so it’s sort of a lid and sort of not.

I'd be worried about nothing between them and freedom but plastic wrap. Mine cruise the ceiling a lot, it's a mesh lid with glass over it. It's a noisy cruise.

I can hear my 75g whispering from the barn.

Someone on here had glass from an old picture frame that fit their tank, and used that as a lid. Just plastic wrap would make me a little nervous too.

Yay! You're welcome. Hopefully you can find some kind of makeshift lid so you don't have to worry.

PS- Maybe a rubbermaid container lid would work temporarily. Not sure how big your tank is, but one of those lids might just sit right on top. Then you could weigh it down with a book or two.

Darn. Wasn't sure how big your tank was. I have a ton of those long 3-4 ft rectangular containers with long lids. I was thinking of those.

Yep! I think the actual brand is Sterilite. Their containers are see through. Let me grab a pic of one of my containers for you.
