Hello everyone 2 of my 3 crabs have been under for about 4 weeks and the other one is alone. He actually seems a lot more active and out and about without them around. Just wondering if I should worry he seems fine but Ive always heard they shouldn't be alone. Thanks.

He's not alone. He has two buddies that are just underground at the moment.

He knows they're there and will be just fine. He may even dig down too. Mass molts are not uncommon.

I totally get it. But new crabs would likely just dig down to destress anyway and then you'd be in the same position.

When I first started crabbing at one point I had all but one crab down, and since the tank was empty I kept bringing home more, only those new crabs also immediately dug down to molt. Ended up with 12 of 13 crabs underground, and a need for an emergency upgraded tank because there were too many crabs for the space available.

Don't get sucked into getting more! Figure out what number is good for your tank and ability to upgrade, and stick to it with all your might.
