Digging

Post by Krusty2015 » Thu Nov 19, 2015 7:05 am

My crab has apparently turned into an little excavator since coming up from his molt last week and keeps digging in multiple spots. This morning he is digging right in the front against the glass and is covering his tracks on the top. I thought for a minute oh no he's molting again but isn't it too soon for that? His molt was successful he is hairy, darker and has little black tips on his legs. He has been so active and trashing his tank every night.

He may be digging for the fun of it. Some crabs like to tunnel more than others. What size is he? Did he have any injuries before or after his last molt? Was that his first molt with you?

He was tunneling because he now has 4 holes dug. He is a medium sized pp. Doesn't seem like he had any injuries before his molt. I had him a week before he molted. I found him outside in mid GA. He molted for 4 weeks and 2 days which is normal for his size I think. I guess he is just a digger. Image Image
