WARNING: The *blues* are dying. :( I took some pictures so if seeing a deceased crab bothers you don't look on.

Now my question is I have one active one alone in a huge tank. Still unknown if he is a blue or ruggie. I also don't know about the 2 injured ones in iso. Should I move the active one into the 150 with the other crabs or leave him be? I'll try to get some pics of her now. No ruggies out right now.

Here's the one active one. She wasn't very cooperative.

I'm so sorry they're dying! :( I hope your son is doing okay. I know how much he wanted them.

I'm positive they're blues now. They don't have Viola eyes, and that is not a Ruggie claw.

Don't move them! If they're going south they need to stay as stress free as possible until they're able to molt.

He doesn't know yet :( I'll have to break it to him tonight. Sometimes being a parent sucks.

I'm glad to know they are blues, now I hope 2 can pull through so one doesn't end up alone. Hopefully I didn't stress the female out too much taking pics. I decided to go ahead with the pics in case she was a ruggie, that way I could've moved her in with friends.

Another question. Since I'm not going to have the amount of blues I originally planned for (LHC is out) I really want to move them to the 150 and keep the 60 for Aussies (if that happens) or whatever I end up with. Should I do that after the 2 in there molt? One is already down hopefully molting and not DEAD although now I'm not sure.

I've no idea. He seemed to have several places that looked (hmmm) cut or injured.

No they were just dark areas. No whitish part. Do you think they are ill?

i had wondered if what my crab had, if it was bacterial, if others could have it. i didn't see that injury on the crab until i looked over the old pics i had taken a few days ago, but then i did check my other crabs to make sure. I don't really know what mine died of, it it was pps, or if that injury had anything to do with it.

has anyone else who got blues updated on how they are doing? i haven't heard any updates.

I'm not sure who all got blues. I think Careyenz did. I have been so busy with getting the kids back in school last week and this week and we are remodeling as well as getting the blues and the 60 set up that I haven't been reading much.

I'm sorry. :( I'm praying 2 of mine make it so they'll at least have a buddy. They are beautiful creatures, but truth be told my violas have turned a beautiful stunning shade that far out blues my blues. Maybe in time the blues will brighten up. Good UVB and food may help along with molts.

Mom23 totally agree with the violas. My viola's are beautiful. I thought one was a blueberry at first, but she has a brownish color in her pinchers

Well I guess I'll never know for sure if they're blues or not. If they experts here have differing opinions I'm never going to know. LHC says Blues & Violas were together not ruggies. So????
