HCA: Hermit Crab Association

Hey y'all, so I'm starting to worry. My humidity gauge is reading around 90%. It was higher, but I'm getting it down.
What went on was that I had just learned that the substrate needed to be moist... rookie here, remember? ): Once I noticed that it needed to be (hello, they love to BREATHE!!!!) I properly conditioned both salt and fresh water to moisten my substrate, which is only play sand for the moment, and the humidity level shot up from 75 to 95. Should I be worried? Please help me! If you have any tips, let me know. Anything you can think of!!!!

Your humidity can be up to 99% and not harm the crabs. Be sure to calibrate the gauge as well. I will link that info as well.

It just might aid in mold growth since crabs are notorious for burying noms, for later or for avoidance, kinda like squirrels! Low humidity is the real worry, 75%+ is perfect but 73-69 and below is deadly and 60% and below needs fixed ASAP! Think of 73-75 percent as a buffer zone, if you need time to fix the initial cause of the dryness.
