HCA: Hermit Crab Association

Does any one else feel uneasy when their hermits disappear deep under the sand? Like I know it's okay but one in particular will go under for days at a time and not come up for food! He also covers his holes and has been know to burrow over a little too! So sometimes I'm not even sure where in the tank he is! Haha (side note this particular PP was bought as a present for me they got him at an amusement park ): )
Then there's the big guy who swears he's an acrobat and hangs from the top of the tank and I gasp every time he falls!
These hermits really keep my anxiety high haha

If you're anything like me, after several molts you'll hardly notice whether theyre buried or above ground. I always think the first few times they bury cause me anxiety, especially when they're approaching their first molt with me. The first time Dusty molted he was M.I.A. for two months and I swear my hair started turning gray.

Yes!!! I've only had this particular PP for a month and he's giving me anxiety !! Haha !! My other PPs are so big even when they do dig they can't hide very well :,) but this new guy is little!! And he hasn't molted yet but keep going under so I'm hoping he'll do it soon so I can stop going crazy over this !

I have a crabby that's giving me greys at the moment lol. Her name is Shelby and has been down for close to 3 months on her first molt with me. I look for her every morning hoping she'd popped up overnight but no dice yet

Also I have noticed that my small crabs generally hide all the time. They pop up a few nights a week to eat that I notice but that's about it. I think they are much more shy when their small. My bigger crabs are out all the time playing spider man crab across the screen and tearing up the tank . I think they might feel more secure and spend more time top side after they've grown a bit.
