finally calibrating old gauge (question)
im calibrating the first gauge i got and replaced after one week.
so far its been in the salt container for 3 hours and it went down to almost 65 % my question is
does the gauge drop first before the container 'stabilizes' than goes back down??? my other gauge which
was calibrated for 24 hours was on the dot 75 % and after about 5 hours it was on 75 % and stayed there
until the next day. just wondering if this guage is done. its one of those petco analogs. is there anyway to adjust
these if it is off? i suppose if its not i can do the math but id rather not have to get confused.

My PetCo analog hygrometer is off by 20%. It read an even 55% after 24 hours in the salt test. I have 2 digital thermometers in my Amazon just waiting for payday to arrive! I hope they work better than my current one!

There is no way to adjust those PetCo Analog Hygrometers. At least the version I have cannot be adjusted...

yeah it went up to 55 % now i have a feeling this one was way off.
which is why i bought an all living things one which passed the test
its the only one i fully trust at this point and my crab is sitting on top of it.
im going to purchase a acurite one soon and see how it works. im planning on having
at leasr 4 gauges going at once. im not messing around haha

yeah id like to get 2 of those and possibly one of those fluker ones.
and than im planning on using one acurite to get the readings inside the room where
the tank is as well. than i have my 2 probe type ones (that seem to be reading high)
and my all living things one (which is on the dot perfect). the petco ones seem to be
total trash, it seems like its gonna be way way way off. i quickly replaced it because
after buying it i read it was way off out of the box.

Some of the analog gauges have tiny holes or screws on the back where a very small screwdriver can be used to adjust the dial.

i tried looking. didnt see anything on this one. its a piece of junk. its been 6 hours and its at 45 % time to chuck it in the trash can.
My all living things is perfect on the dot 75 % after 24 hours salt test. My vivarium electronics, read humidity at 99 % ive tried two of them
i give up on those. I'm going to get an acurite one tomorrow (hopefully walmart has it) if not petsmart is next door and im getting a digital one
(whichever they have for sale) there.
