Is China Fir wood safe?

Post by GabyRaven » Sun Aug 21, 2016 9:37 pm

I know this should probably go in crab care but it wouldn't let me post there for some reason... Anyway, is China Fir safe for crabs?

Most evergreens are unsafe for crabs.

Check the Safe and Unsafe/Unpopular Food lists.

If a certain wood is not on it, you may choose to try it in your habitat, but you would assume any risk from doing so.

Okay, thanks! I'll check it out. As for trying it, I've had it in for a few days and the crabs have been fine with it, they've even changed shells on the shell shop I've set up on top of it! They love to hide under the bridge too... What does evergreen wood do to crabs? Will it kill them? Mine seem fine
