Glue safe?

Weird question but I'm scared

I was boiling my hermit crab shells to clean them & added 3 stand-up silk aquarium plants to the mix. Well the plants fell apart from the high heat and came off their stands. I guess they were glued to their stands & some glue pieces ended up in the water and on one of the shells. I got it off the shell but now I'm worried what if some glue got inside some of the shells and dried in there.

Is it safe?

I would wipe out the inside of the shell with a qtip just to check but I doubt any got in there permanently.

If the silk aquarium plants were indeed aquarium plants then your not looking at glue but silicone which is what is used on all silk aquarium plants to bond them to their stands because the silicone is completely non-toxic once properly cured which means even if it did melt in the enclosure due to the high heat its not going to hurt your crabs.
