The tank is 80 degrees now and the humidity is dropping now

I'd seal the tank up as best you can with just a small opening for airflow, and do a heavy misting to help temporarily. Do you have a moss pit? That can help some.

Hi Brittany,

Did you change something to make the temp go to 80? Did you add more heaters, or a heat lamp? What number is your humidity at on the humidity gauge? If it's 75 or higher than you're doing great!

I put a light blanket on the back of the tank and there's moss all over the substrate

What is your humidity reading right now? It may stabilize on its own but you'll want to keep an eye on it :)

Okay, that's too low. I would suggest misting for now to keep it up. Have you calibrated your hygrometer? It's really easy to do and it'll make sure you're getting the right reading. All you need is a bottlecap, some salt, and a baggie! Instructions are here: viewtopic.php?f=26&t=92540

Do you have any under tank heaters?
